Southern Georgia Regional Commission meeting to be Aug. 27
A meeting of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission Council is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27. The meeting will be held at the SGRC Valdosta Office, 1937 Carlton Adams Drive, Valdosta.
The Bridge hosts mental health, wellness event this Saturday, Aug. 22
The Bridge: Repairer fo the Breach Mental Health Outreach Inc. is hosting a back-to-school community mental health and wellness event 1-4 p.m. Saturday August 22 at the NFC Gym.
Described as an afternoon of encouragement, education, resources and support to help students and families prepare for a successful school year.
The event is free and everyone is welcome. School support itemsw ill be available while suplies last and light refreshments will be served.
The NFC Gym is located at 705 College Avenue in Blackshear.
