Kelly Ruble has been named as the new assistant fire chief for the Pierce County Volunteer Fire Department (PCVFD) and assistant emergency management agency (EMA) director.
Ruble joined the Blackshear Fire Department in 2009 soon after coming to Pierce County from Waycross in 2006. He served with the Blackshear Fire Department for 17 years including the past five years as lieutenant.
Ruble also joined the Southside station of the PCVFD in 2018 where he has served as a firefighter for the last eight years.
Ruble and his wife, Renee, have been married for 27 years and are the parents of four children, grandparents to four grandchildren and owners of three beloved fur babies.
When he’s not serving his community, Ruble enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing and golfing.
