School
It’s that time again. First day of school for the 2026-2027 school year arrived last Wednesday, August 5.
There were the usual traffic back ups, but no major ‘first day’ problems were reported.
A total of 3,472 students showed up at the county’s five campuses, an increase of 47 over last year’s first day. Patterson Elementary pre-kindergarten student James Callahan waves to his parents as he begins his first day of school.
