Fourth Mount Olive Church
Fourth Mount Olive Church will hold its annual church anniversary honoring the congregations’s more than 100 years of dedicated service to the community. The celebration will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 16, at the church, 900 Yeomans Street, Blackshear.
Bishop Carlos White will bring an amazing word for this momentous occasion.
“Pastor Morris Pate and the church family would be honored by your presence as we come together in worship and fellowship,” said a spokesperson.
Dinner will be served following the service.
Back to school event to be Aug. 22 The Bridge: Repairer of the Breach Mental Health Outreach Inc. is hosting a back-to-school community mental health and wellness event 1-4 p.m. Saturday August 22 at the NFC Gym.
Described as an afternoon of encouragement, education, resources and support to help students and families prepare for a successful school year.
The event is free and everyone is welcome. School support items will be available while supplies last and light refreshments will be served. The NFC Gym is located at 705 College Avenue in Blackshear.
