Last week, I called Mike Dover, my friend whom I met several months ago.
He is working on a Georgia History book on all 159 counties to see how he was coming along with his book. He said it was complete, except he didn't have any pictures from Sapelo Island and that was holding him up.
I told him to check his email later that night and I could fix him up.
Several years ago, William Hinesley, Roy Harris and I went to Sapelo on what had to be the coldest day of the year. I took some pictures which might work for his book.
I also told him I was probably about to do another printing of the Okefenokee Swamp - Wild & Natural coffee table book. He told me he wanted at least two of them, if I did.
I also called Donna Ziegenhorn to see how she was coming with her follow up book to Snow White Sands. She said she hopes to have it finished by October or the first of November.
She is using a few of my Satilla River pictures in the book. I am hoping when both of them get their books finished, we can all have a book signing or two around South Georgia.
Mike lives up near Athens and Donna lives in Kansas.
