Ware students join Brantley, Pierce in class on Thursday
Ware County students will join those in Brantley and Pierce counties in the classroom Thursday, August 8 to start the 2026-27 school year.
Brantley welcomed its students back Tuesday while Pierce students followed the next day.
Ware County held open house for its Pre-K and elementary students Tuesday. Those events at Ware County and Waycross middle schools, along with Ware County High, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today (Wednesday, August 5).
The visits for students and families at Waycross Middle will be the first in the new school adjacent to the old facility. The school’s red and black color scheme is predominate throughout the common areas, hallways and in the gymnasium.
The first break in classes after this week will come Labor Day, September 7.
