The Pierce County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “Dream Keepers” annual Cora Bailey and Abraham Thompson Memorial Scholarship Program will be held this Sunday, August 9.
The program will be held at 11 a.m. this Sunday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3383 Tyre Bridge Road, in Patterson.
Scholarships will be awarded Ahmad Arnold, Nigel Brown, Jah Evans, Saharah Minott and Gregory Sallet.
Arnold is majoring in biological sciences at South Georgia State College in Waycross. Brown is attending Georgia Military College in Milledgeville and majoring in business administration. Evans is studying sports management at LaGrange College in La-Grange. Minott is enrolled at Florida A&M in Tallahassee, majoring in robotics engineering. Sallet is enrolled at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Vocational School in Warm Springs and is studying construction.
