The Blackshear Bullz travel baseball 13-U team brought home a championship after an outstanding performance at the June 16-19 Perfect Game Gulf Coast World Series in Destin, Florida.

The Bullz faced some of the top 13-U travel baseball programs in the country and came home as number one after competing against 18 teams from across several states. Their tournament schedule included games against the Knights Luizza from Louisiana, BB Hawks from Kentucky and Texas Blacksox-Holaday from Texas.

After earning the number 5 seed in the gold bracket, the Bullz caught fire. They opened with a 8-7 win over the Luizza Knights, a team coached by Matt Luizza, an all-American catcher from LSU with a seven-year career in Major League baseball, before defeat-ing the top-seeded GBA Tigres Majors 17-9 and advancing to the championship game.

Facing Texas Blacksox-Holaday, the Bullz completed their run with a 10-6 victory to claim the Perfect Game 13-U Gold Bracket Championship.

The championship win highlighted the Bullz's determination, teamwork and ability to compete with highly ranked travel baseball organizations from across the Southeast and Midwest. Their title run against elite competition was a memorable achievement for the Blackshear program and a proud accomplishment for the players, coaches and families who supported them throughout the tournament.

The Perfect Game Gulf Coast World Series is one of the premier youth baseball events of the summer, attracting talented teams from multiple states and providing young athletes an opportunity to compete at a high level.
