Beverly Faye Vickers, of Jesup, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at her home.
A native of Bacon County and a 1972 graduate of Patterson High School, she had lived most of her adult life in Wayne County and was a member of Anderson Drive Baptist Church. She worked for many years as the switchboard operator at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Cooking and shopping were her love languages but her family was at the center of heart, especially her grandchildren.
Her ministry was silent as she would give in so many ways to different people in need.
Her husband, Twyman Vickers preceded her in death along with her parents, Joseph Scranton and Maggie Ruth Taylor Phillips.
Survivors are a son, Shane and daughter-in-love, Becky Tabb, Jesup; two grandchildren, Sidney (Brooke) Tabb and Katie (Joe) Hutto; four great-grandchildren, Paxton, Maeve, Millie and Jett Ellis; four sisters, Gail (Oliver) Cason, Patterson, Joann (Richard) Leonard, Blackshear, Rita Davis, Valdosta and Rose (Ken) Tincher, Jacksonville, FL; step-children, Keith, David and Terri Vickers; a step-grandchild, Damien Vickers; a host of nieces and nephews and her beloved fur baby “Buddy”.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 31, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, from the Rinehart Chapel with Pastor Dustin Cribbs officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Ware County.
Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.
