Last week the Okefenokee Swamp was named as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Okefenokee Swamp is regarded as one of the world’s largest freshwater ecosyst ems with a vast network of wetlands which supports exceptional biodiversity and serves as the headwaters of two major river systems - the Suwannee and the St. Mary’s.
Time will tell if and how this works out as about 80 percent of the citizens in the surrounding areas voted to keep UNESCO out and not allow this to happen.
I personally love the Okefenokee. I worked there as a teenager and have taken a lot of pictures in the swamp.
Don Berryhill and I self-published two coffeetable books which have all sold out.
I realize now may be a great time for a 3rd printing, but my type of coffee table books are expensive.
As of right now, I can't see me having another 1,000 books printed — at least not at this time.
