Two Douglas residents have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday, July 22, in the 500 block of McDuffie Street.
Blackshear Police Chief Chris Wright said Tony Hatch Harper, 26, of Douglas, and a 13-year-old, also of Douglas, were arrested without incident Thursday, July 23, in Douglas. Due to his age, the juvenile’s name cannot be released under Georgia law.
Wright said shortly after the robbery, investigators obtained a description of the suspect vehicle and, through investigative techniques, were able to identify the vehicle involved. Investigators subsequently determined the suspects had traveled from Douglas to Blackshear prior to the robbery.
