Soccer, flag, cheer sizing is Aug. 3 - 4 The Pierce County Rec-reation Department will be sizing Big Kickers soc-cer and flag participants for their uniforms 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, August 3.
The event will be held at the Pierce County Gym. Big Kickers are ages 5/6 coed. Sizing on this day for flag will include the 5-6 year olds who want to play flag as well as 8U, 10U and 12U girls who will be playing flag.
Sizing for uniforms for Future Bears and cheerleaders will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, also at Rec Gym.
Rec Board to meet August 4
The Pierce County Recreation Board meets at 8:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in the second floor auditorium at the Southeast Georgia Regional Agriculture Center, 705 College Avenue, Blackshear.
Meetings dates include August 4, September 1, October 6, November 3 and December 1.

Pierce Rec coaches meeting Aug. 8 The Pierce County Rec creation Department will have a Fall coaches meeting 9 a.m. 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8 at the NFC gym.
Coaches who are participating in the 2026 Pierce County Recreation Department Fall Season are expected to attend.
This meeting will ensure coaches are prepared to provide a safe, positive, organized and successful experience for area youth.
Pierce Rec football sizing, evals Aug. 10 The Pierce County Recreation Department will have sizing and evals for football players Monday, August 10.
The uniform sizing will be held at the NFC gym. Sizing for 10U will be held at 5-5:45 p.m. Sizing for 8U will be held from 5:45-6:30 p.m. and 12U sizing will be held from 7:15-8 p.m.
The football evaluations will be held at Tiger field in Blackshear. Evals for 8U will be held from 5- 5:45 p.m. Evals for 10U will be from 5:4-6:30 p.m. and 12U evals will be held from 6:30-7:15 p.m.

Pierce Rec volleyball sizing, evals Aug. 13 The Pierce County Recreation Department will have volleyball evaluations and uniform sizing Thursday, August 13, at the NFC gym, 705 College Ave.
The schedule is from 5-5:45 p.m. The 10U uniform sizing and the 8U evaluations will take place. from 5:45 until 6:30 p.m. will be the 8U uniform sizing and the 10U evaluations. From 6:30-7:30 p.m. will be the 12U and 14U evaluations. From 7:30-8:15 p.m. will be the 12U and 14U uniform sizing.
All athletes need to attend their designated evaluation and sizing session. Players should wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.
