
Thomas Jeffery “T.J.” Scott, 45, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, in Charleston.
Born in Salem, VA August 28, 1980, he lived in Montana prior to moving to Charleston two years ago. Always a free spirit, he traveled the country exploring nature and his creative side. He worked in construction but had also used his talents in the art of tattooing. He enjoyed fishing and going four-wheeling.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald James Scott and his maternal grandmother, Lily White East.
Survivors include seven children, Kade Scott, Atlanta, Makenzie Scott, Blackshear, Zack of Maryland, Zoey Scott of Maryland, Oakley and Elliott of Pennsylvania and River Rain of Charleston; his mother, Le’Nora Elizabeth “Beth” Franklin Scott, Blackshear; two brothers, Donny (Sally) Scott, Jesup and Daryl Alan Shrewsburry Scott, Statesboro; a grandson, Luke Scott; his maternal grandfather, Alton Cline (Evelyn) Franklin, Jr., Bedford VA; his paternal grandmother, Artha Scott of Pennsylvania and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will celebrate his life from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home
Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
