ST. MARY’S — Carla Culbreth Carper, 76 of St. Marys, Ga., passed away Saturday, July 12, 2026, at her brother’s residence after a short illness.
Ms. Carper was born on October 4, 1949, in Waycross to Clint Culbreth and Louise Stansell Culbreth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clint Carper.
Survivors are her siblings, Glenn Culbreth (Andrea Porter) of St. Marys, and Donna Mizell (Wayne) of Eatonton, Ga; grandchildren, Callie Carper and Reagin Carper; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Ms. Carper was a resident of Camden County for the last 30 years. She was a cashier for years at Lowe’s in Kingsland, Ga., and was a secretary for many years for Dante’s Down The Hatch. Ms. Carper was the head of the Camden County Chamber of Commerce and enjoyed her time on the board. She was crafty, enjoyed cooking, and loved growing flowers and plants.
A Celebration of Life was held July 17 at Allison Memorial Chapel with Martin Turner officiating.
Allison Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
