Austin Bennett (right) was among a group of attorneys recognized last month for service to the public and justice system in Georgia by the State Bar of Young Lawyers Division. Bennett, who works in the Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, was presented the Award of Achievement for Service to the Bar at the organization’s annual meeting in Atlanta. With Bennett are (l-r) 2025-26 State Bar YLD President Veronica Rogusky Cox, Kelsie Mattox, James Banter, and Matt Caudell. The Georgia YLD is comprised of approximately 10,000 lawyers admitted to the State Bar of Georgia who are age 36 or younger or who have been admitted to their first bar no more than five years.
