Satilla Advocacy Services (SAS) celebrated another successful year of community support during its third Annual SAS Super Bowl bowling tournament, raising more than $15,000 to benefit victims of child abuse and sexual assault throughout its six-county service area.
Last month’s event brought together local first responders, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and community members for a day filled with friendly competition, fellowship, and fun — all while supporting an important cause.
The tournament honored the dedication and service of the community's first responders, who participated as teams and served as a reminder of the everyday heroes who work tirelessly to protect and serve others.
“We’re beyond grateful for everyone who helped make this year’s SAS Super Bowl such an incredible success,” said Tess Aldridge, Executive Director at Satilla Advocacy Services. “The generosity and enthusiasm shown by our community continue to make it possible for us to provide vital services to those who need them most.”
This year’s competition recognized several outstanding teams and participants. The Super League Award, presented to the team that raised the most funds, was awarded to the GBI, which also won the team competition.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office finished runner-up followed by the Waycross Police Department.
The crowd-favorite “Cutest K9” award went to “Kitt” with the Ware County Sheriff's Office, handled by Deputy Jacobs.
The Best Outfit Award was presented to members of the Charlton County/Brantley County Department of Family and Child Services for their creativity and team spirit.
Funds raised directly support the mission of Satilla Advocacy Services, a non-profit organization that has served the community for more than 30 years by providing advocacy, support, and resources to victims of child abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking and other forms of abuse.
Organizers expressed appreciation to the event’s sponsors, volunteers, local businesses, participating teams, and supporters whose contributions helped create an unforgettable day and a meaningful impact.
The event was more than just a bowling tournament, it was a celebration of community spirit and a powerful example of what can be accomplished when people come together for a common cause.
Satilla Advocacy Services extended its heartfelt thanks to all who participated and supported this year’s event and looks forward to continuing the tradition in 2027.
