121st annual Hortense Wesleyan Camp is underway HORTENSE — Hortense Wesleyan Camp will hold its 121st Annual Camp Meeting July 23August 2, 2026.
The first service will be Thursday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m. Beginning Friday, July 24, services will be at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Services will run through Sunday, August 2 with the 11 a.m. service as the last.
Rev. Tim Jones and Rev. Jon Parrish will be the Evangelists for the camp. Todd Horne will be the Song Evangelist.

Health Department offers immunizations and screenings NAHUNTA – Make sure your child is ready for the 2026-27 school year with a clean bill of health.
The Brantley County Health Department will host Back-to-School clinics Thursday, July 16, and Thursday, July 30, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day.
During these clinics, the health department will provide vaccines, along with hearing, vision and dental screenings to fulfill requirements for Georgia DPH Forms 3231 and 3300 for school attendance in Georgia.
No appointment is necessary.
The Brantley County Health Department (located at 173 Florida Avenue in Nahunta) is part of the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Southeast Health District.
