WAYNESVILLE — Claudia Ann Middldeton, 80 of Waynesville, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Middleton was born March 3, 1946 in Jacksonville, Fla., to the late James Claude Brooks and Eva Mae Morris. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Wayne Middleton; and a granddaughter, Haley Ann Middleton.
Mrs. Middleton will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. She was a hardworking, selfless, considerate, intelligent, compassionate lady with a gentle spirit. Mrs. Middleton was always concerned about other’s needs.
Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Bill Middleton; son Travis Middleton; daughter Pam Herrin (Bert); four grandchildren Jessa Fisher (Nathan), Justin Middleton (Hayden Stone), Brooke Conley (Jake) and Chase Middleton (Kirsten); six great grandchildren Remi Rose Fisher, Roxi Fisher, Sloane Conley, Kamryn Middleton, Hadley Middleton and Ivy Middleton; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in the chapel at Frye Funeral Home and officiated by Bro. Kevin Johns.
