Carol Ann Bell, 80, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Heritage Oaks Health (formerly Magnolia Manor) on St. Simons Island, following an extended illness.
She was born in Blackshear, to the late Wade Wolford and Vera Leona Batten Wolford. Early in life, she worked at the King Edward Cigar Factory before retiring as Vice President of Operations with Atlantic Coast Federal Credit Union in Waycross. She was most recently a member of Bay Harbor Church of God and had previously attended Grace Chapel before moving to Brunswick. She was also a member of the Ware County Exchange Club.
Survivors include her husband, Kelly Bell, Brunswick; two children, Kelly Ann McQuaig (Joey Jr.), Blackshear and Susan Thomason (Jason), Winston-Salem, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Harrison Cleve McQuaig, Caroline Isabelle Quirk (William Wade), Sarah Grace Thomason, Kelly Elizabeth White Thomason and William Joseph Kelly McQuaig; one great-grandson, Cleve Winston Quirk; three siblings, Vera Little (Marshall), Wade Wolford (Linda) and Madge Womack (Paul) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, from the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
