HOBOKEN — Paul

Jackson Hickox, 90 of Hoboken, died Wednesday evening, July 8, 2026 at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.
Hickox was born in Blackshear to the late Henry Harley Hickox and Hazel Ephran Sheppard Hickox. He made Hoboken his home since 1996.
Hickox served his country faithfully in the United States Army where he retired after committing over 20 years of service in the communications and intelligence fields. Following his service, Hickox started a second career with Southeast Toyota and retired in 1994 as a distribution manager.
He was a man of hard work that spent lots of time in his shop woodworking, computer work and researching genealogy. He loved to fish and tell stories.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Kathryn Myers Hickox; a daughter, Paula Sue Nicely; a grandson, Ricardo James Delgado; and a brother, Herbert Harley Hickox.
Hickox is survived by his wife, Linda Hickox of Hoboken; two daughters, Tamra Magdefrau and husband Christian of Middleburg, Fla., and Kimberly Rydel and husband Jeffery of Middleburg, Fla.; two step-sons, Edward Dickerson and fiancé Rhonda of Hoboken and Chris Dickerson and wife Vivian of Blackshear; two grandchildren, Melissa Delgado and Jamie Nicely; two stepgrandchildren; Jarrett Dickerson and Hannah Dickerson; many great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held Monday, July 13 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Hickox officiating.
Burial followed in St. Johns Church Cemetery in Blackshear.
