BRUNSWICK — Mr. Robert James Baker, 82 of Brunswick, formerly of Lisbon, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 4, leaving behind a legacy of service, love, and cherished

memories.
Born in Lisbon, Ohio, Baker was the son of the late Delores Mae Baker. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie (Judy) Baker; and his sister, Pamela Baker, all of Lisbon, Ohio.
Baker shared 24 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Janice Baker. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and lasting memories.
A hardworking and dedicated public servant, Baker was employed with B&W and proudly served with the Glynn County Police Department for 23 years. He took great pride in serving his community and was respected by those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Known affectionately as “Bob” to many who loved him, Baker enjoyed spending his free time exploring estate sales and antique shops. He also loved discovering new restaurants and trying new places to eat, always looking forward to his next adventure.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 24 years, Janice Baker; daughter, Pamela Dixon (Terry); stepdaughter, Kim Corbett (Joe) of Nahunta; granddaughter, Courtney Jones (Ross Ward) and great-grandson, Axel Ward, all of Brunswick; niece, Dawn, and nephew, Chris, both of Ohio; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends whose lives were blessed by knowing him.
Baker will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his dedication to public service, his love for family, and the kindness he shared throughout his life. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Baker’s life was held Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
