The Pierce County Chamber of Commerce’s special summer scavenger hunt has begun.
Running from now through July 31, the event includes 21 different local businesses with a special goal for each location.
“This was a way to introduce local shoppers to all the wonderful members of the chamber and to give their kids something fun to do,” says chamber executive director Christi Pitts.
Designed to lead preschool and elementary school age players and their parents on a tour through locally owned businesses, no purchase is necessary to participate, just go to the locations and follow the instructions. The rules are as follows: 1. Pick up sheet at these businesses: Cotton Pickin Boutique and Brew, Steel and Metal Systems, Inc., Michelles on Main, Vintage J’s, Bed R’ Furniture & Mattress and Country Bumpkins.
2. Fill out the sheet by visiting each business listed and having a parent sign off on each.
3. Once all tasks are completed, return the sheet to the chamber office at 200 SW Central Ave. Blackshear.
4. The first 20 participants to finish receive a prize upon completion.
All cards must be returned by August 3.
