Seniors Farmers Market, July 31 A senior farmers market event will take place 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Friday, July 31 at the Pierce County Senior Center located at 713 Hendry Street in Blackshear.
The event is open to the public. Applicants 55-59 years old qualify if they live in senior housing. All other applicants must be 60 or older and all applicants must meet certain income guidelines.
Qualifying seniors will receive $30 worth of produce. Walk ins will be welcome as long as the bags last.

Memorial Satilla schedules three blood drives
Memorial Satilla Health will partner with The Blood Connection to host three more blood drives in 2026. Blood drives are held on Fridays, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the old registration lobby on the main campus, 1900 Tebeau Street, Waycross. Upcoming drives are set for July 31, October 2 and December 4.
