Conger LP Gas ribbon cutting puts kids first
The official ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Blackshear location of Conger LP Gas, Inc. had all the usual elements: food, drinks, raffle prizes and a crowd of well-wishers, including employees, friends, family and ambassadors from the local chamber of commerce. Normally, there would be a picture of the staff celebrating as the traditional long blue ribbon is cut by a giant pair of scissors. However, Karen Whitley, District Manager of the Waycross and Blackshear area, wanted to put the focus next door at the Blackshear Presbyterian Daycare, where their After School group was treated to frozen snow cones. Whitley stressed that faith, family and community involvement are at the heart of what the new office is all about.
