MES students express gratitude for America

Miles Barrett 2nd Grade Today, America turns 250 years old. There are many things we can do to make the next 250 years good. One thing we do is help people in need. If we can do that, America is going to be great. We can be nice to people, and follow the laws and rules. I hope you like America!

Lillian Barfield 2nd Grade America is turning 250 years old today. There have been many things that have made these 250 years very good. Many Americans have died for us to have freedom. They saved our country. This is why I am proud to be an American.

Ember Davis 2nd Grade I am proud to be an American. One reason I am proud is because my grandpa was in the Army. I wish I was born then so I could see him in the Army. I pray for everyone fighting for our country and freedom. I am happy to help my country by being a good citizen and following rules.

Kylee McDaniel 2nd Grade It is hard to believe America is 250 years old. One reason I like America is that our military command keeps us safe. They have food for us here to keep us healthy. They also made schools for us so we can learn. America also has so many jobs so we can make money to live. We are so lucky to live in America!

Madilyn Redman 2nd Grade It is hard to believe America is 250 years old! I’m so thankful to have people that can protect us like the policemen. We also get to go to the best schools to get our education. Maybe this year America will have less fires. It is sad but our people came together to help others. Finally I am so thankful I get to live here. Happy Birthday America!

Eleanor Shreves 2nd Grade We have so many things to celebrate about America. One reason is that we can travel wherever we want. I hope to celebrate this summer when gas prices go down. Another reason is America has different designs of shirts and pants to keep us clothed. Finally I love that America has traditions and churches. These are just a few things I love about America. Another reason I love America is we have a big, BIG military. I hope that prices on all the big stuff we need can get lower in this 250th year. Also I love all the schools, churches, and stores we have here. We have so many reasons to celebrate America’s birthday this summer.

To celebrate our birthday I hope taxes go lower, especially for those people that lost their homes in fires. Maybe also this year America will stop the inflation on prices of things. Another reason is that we are so lucky to have amazing doctors to take care of us here. We also have some of the best stores to get things we need like food and clothes. We even care about animals and have vets to keep them healthy. There are so many things for us to celebrate this July 4th!

If we did not have America it would be full in other countries around the world and very sad. America is one of the most important places in the world. We are lucky to have so many amazing things here to take care of us. I can’t wait to celebrate America’s birthday!

Eliza Oakley 2nd Grade Happy 250th birthday America! One reason I love America so much is because we are lucky to have such good schools and teachers. Some kids around the world do not have schools to go to and that is so sad. Another reason is that we have food and water here. Many places don’t have enough food or clean water. We should be so thankful to live here and celebrate AMerica’s birthday!

Harper Deal 2nd Grade Happy 250th birthday America!! America will be 250 years old this July 4th and we should celebrate! America is home to a lot of people. Our people feel safe in America and even though America has been through a lot over the years it has only grown stronger. We are lucky to live somewhere safe where we can have family and friends we love. Our Earth is a better place to have America in it. Also we have amazing food like fish and pizza! Thank you God for America. We are so blessed to be able to celebrate your 250th birthday!
