Dampier
HORTENSE — Roy Albert Dampier, 83 of Hortense, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, at his residence after an extended illness.
Dampier was born in Homerville to the late Talm age Dampier and Lois Taylor Dampier. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Dampier; a sister, Judy Dampier; and two brothers, Danny and Randy Dampier.
Dampier was an expert carpenter, loved his family and his cats, and loved football. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Dampier will be deeply missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Pam Creamer, Heidi Shedd, Jonathan Dampier and Billie Hartman; a sister, Wanda Lynn Gay; 10 grandchildren; numerous greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
