Chris Ausburn was recently honored by the Ware County Commissios as Employee of the Month.

Ausburn was recognized as an employee whose steady leadership and quiet excellence have become indispensable at the Waycross-Ware County Airport. Acting Airport Director Dee Meadows described the honor as “well-earned and long overdue.”

He praised Ausburn for embodying the spirit of teamwork that keeps the airport running smoothly.

“He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every customer who comes through our airport has a positive experience,” said Meadows.

He added Ausburn “never complains” and is “always willing to go the extra mile to meet the needs of others.”

Ausburn’s technical expertise and forward-thinking approach have also made a measurable impact on airport operations. Meadows detailed his ability to spot efficiencies, reduce cost, and improve daily workflows, things that strengthen the airport’s service to the city and county.

“His positive attitude, reliability and dedication set a strong example for his fellow employees,” he said.
