Hortense Wesleyan Camp starts July 23 HORTENSE — Hortense Wesleyan Camp will hold its 121st Annual Camp Meeting July 23-August 2, 2026.
The first service will be Thursday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m. Beginning Friday, July 24, services will be at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Services will run through Sunday, August 2 with the 11 a.m. service as the last.
Rev. Tim Jones and Rev. Jon Parrish will be the Evangelists for the camp. Todd Horne will be the Song Evangelist.

CPTC offering free application process Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) is making it easier than ever for prospective students to take the next step toward their educational and career goals by offering Free Application Week, Monday- Friday, June 22-26.
During the promotion, application fees will be waived for students applying for admission to CPTC for the Fall semester. Those applying online should use the application fee waiver code FALL2026 when submitting an application.
All seven CPTC campuses will be open Monday- Thursday during the promotion. Classes begin August 17 for the Fall semester.

Satilla Bluffs sets Classic Car Show
WAYCROSS — Satilla Bluffs, 101 Satilla Bluffs Drive, will be the site of a Classic Car Show beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 27.
In addition to dozens of classic vehicles, there will be summer snacks, music, and a family friendly front porch party.
Diabetes group alters July session The Talki Foundation’s monthly support group 912 Diabetes Initiative for people with diabetes and their caregivers has changed the date of its next meeting because of the July 4 holiday.
The support group will meet at 11 a.m., July 11 in the Memorial Satilla Health Annex Classroom, 1800 Alice Street. Meetings usually are held the first Saturday of each month.
