Torrential rains from the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur caused flooding on streets and roads in Pierce County Friday dropping huge amounts of rain. During the height of the storms, more than a dozen roads were flooded or closed. All have since re-opened. Some areas on the north end of the county received up to eight inches of rain, catching up deficits as the county has experienced exceptional drought since last summer.
