Pierce County Public Library recently held a special adoption ceremony for young readers. Kids lined up after the library’s June 15 Dino Hatching program to adopt the revived reptiles and the Honorable Judge Shelly Herndon of Pierce County Magistrate Court was on hand to make sure everything was official. Part of the library’s larger dinosaur-themed summer reading program, other activities have including an ongoing reading challenge, meeting animatronic baby dinosaur puppets and making fossil skeletons from macaroni.
