Waycross will begin new operational hours Wednesday, July 1 for services at City Hall.
Hours for the lobby at City Hall will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to noon Fridays.
City staff will continue to be available by telephone and email before and after the lobby opens to ensure residents have access to city services, City Manager Ulysses “Duke” Rayford said in announcing the change on the city’s website and social media platforms.
Staff availability for telephone and email contact will be 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and 8 a.m. to noon Fridays.
Residents who need inperson assistance may visit City Hall during lobby hours. They also may continue to contact staff by telephone or email during the listed hours.
The City encourages its residents to take advantage of the many online services available at www.waycrossga.gov, including utility payments, permits, licenses, applications, and other municipal services.
For added convenience, a secure drop box remains available for payments and correspondence. The Waycross City Commission recently approved the purchase of a 24-hour outdoor kiosk that will be located in the drive through area adjacent to City Hall. It will be installed in the near future to provide additional service options for residents.
