BRUNSWICK — Betty Jean Moody Moore, 82, of Brunswick passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Satilla Hospice in Waycross.
The Glynn County native was a former resident of Jesup, but lived a majority of her life in Brunswick. She was a member of Everett Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moore started her career as a phlebotomist at the Brunswick Hospital and retired from the Doctor’s
Moore
Lab (presently, Lab Corp). She enjoyed crocheting and working with ceramics.
Her husband, Donald H. Moore, preceded her in death along with siblings, Jerri Eustace, Elizabeth Drury, James Harvey Moody and Tommy Larry Moody.
Survivors are her daughter, Linda Bare of Waynesville; a son, A.M. (Tammie) Drury, Jr. of Brunswick; four grandchildren, Erin (Scott) Wages, Chris Drury, Donnie Drury and Chance Bare; sister, Janie J. Wilson of Lenexa, Kansas; great grandchildren, Marshall, Logan, Connor, Liam, Giovanni and Mackenzie; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service was held Monday, June 15, 2026 in Odum City Cemetery with Rev. Charles Drury officiating.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
