HORTENSE — Susanne Hatcher Strickland, 68 of Hortense, passed away peacefully at her residence Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Mrs. Strickland was born September 2, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany. She devoted her life to her family and will be rem embered for her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished most.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy J. Strickland; and a son, Randy William Jackson Hatcher.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Christina Hutcheson, and son-inlaw, Joshua Hutcheson; her treasured grandchildren, Bentley Hutcheson and Adalynn Hutcheson; her stepchildren, Richard Strickland and Lisa Strickland; as well as four sisters, several nieces and nephews, and numerous other grandchildren and extended family members who will forever cherish her memory.
A graveside funeral service was held Friday, June 12 at Palmetto Cemetery.
