Last week, Bonnie and I took most of the family from Southeast Georgia to the Northwest Coast of the U.S. to Oregon.
I wanted to show them some of the things that I have had the opportunity to photograph in different parts of the world. Oregon was a first for all of us.
We flew into Portland from Jacksonville, Fla., rented an RV and drove down the coast for many miles and then drove back up. We only had one day that was a washout with rain all day.
When we returned the RV, the man told us we were very lucky. It seems they normally get way more rain than that.
We had a really good trip and got to see some beautiful sites. When we left Oregon, the temperature was 45 degrees. We didn't have to deal with the first gnat.
When we flew back into Jacksonville, the temperature was 90 degrees and I could tell we were home! They have no sweet tea out west, so our first stop on the way home was to Scott's Barbeque for two Potato Bombs and two large sweet teas to take home with us for supper!
