Joshua Koley ‘Kole’ Herrin

Joshua Koley “Kole” Herrin, 21, of Fernandina Beach, FL, passed away Thursday evening, June 11, 2026, in Fernandina Beach from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Waycross October 17, 2004, he lived in Pierce County all of his life before moving to Fernandina Beach in 2022.  He attended Pierce County High School but graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in 2023. He was currently working for Milt’s of Amelia A/C & Heating as an HVAC technician. He enjoyed playing darts and riding buggies and motorcycles. He loved to be on the go and being with his friends and family. He was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church – Fernandina.  He was dearly loved and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.   
He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Arthur (Betty) James and Tommy (Pauline) Smith.
Survivors include his parents, Joshua B. “Josh” Herrin, Blackshear and Brandi Smith, Johnston, SC; three sisters, Kirsti Smith and Kenley Joyner, both of Johnston and Tiffany Padgett, Blackshear; his brother, Dustin Monk, St. Augustine, FL; maternal grandparents, Betty Griffin, Blackshear and T.W. (Sheila) Smith, Brantley County; his paternal grandparents, Linda (Bill) Inman, Fernandina Beach and Benny (Erika) Herrin, Blairsville; niece and nephews, Kel Lee, Bella Lee and Elijah Monk; his girlfriend and her mother, Grace Mizell and Sylvia Mizell, both of Jacksonville Beach, FL; his best friend, JJ Russell, Fernandina Beach and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the funeral home.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
