Michael Scott Kratochvil, 70, of Patterson, died Sunday morning, June 14, 2026, at his residence, after a brief illness.
He was born in Halcott Center, New York to the late Stanley Kratochvil Sr. and Patricia Maxim Kratochvil and made Pierce County his home for many years. He was a self-employed painter and a man that loved the University of Florida Gators. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, auctions, keeping up with the news, his snack cakes and collecting eagles.
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Powell; three brothers, Kevin Kratochvil, Keith Kratochvil and Stanley Kratochivl Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kratochvil, Patterson; seven children, Jennifer Pryor, Michael Via, wife Tania, Matt Powell, Kenneth Kratochvil, Jason Kratochvil ,wife LeAnna, Samantha Daniel, husband Patrick, Haley Howell, husband Bookie; 22 grandchildren, Kinsey, Brooklyn, Zoey, Lindsey, Jace, Dakota, Kaleb, Nikolas, Khloe, Kaley, Patrick Jr., Sophia, Dalton, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Karlee, Kassie, Tori, Kolton, Wyatt, Annaleigh, Bentley, Katie, Sean, Sr.; five great grandchildren, Wrenley, Kaylee, Sean, Jr., Blakely and Remi; his mother, Patricia, two sisters, Deborah Adamo and Esther Kratochvil; best friends, Shawn Kinlaw and Eric Guinn; a niece, Patty Kratochvil; special caregiver, Janice Melton and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, from the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Blackshear City Cemetery.
