Pierce County’s 8-under Coach Pitch all-star team captured the District II title Saturday, June 6, beating Brantley County 12-9 in the championship game played on Burgsteiner Field. The team will play in the Class C state tournament in Madison with the Morgan County Recreation Department serving as host. The tournament is scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 23 and run through Saturday, June 27.
