Senior Farmers Market
Georgia WIC and Georgia Senior are collaborating to bring the public a Senior Farmer’s Market from 9:30 a.m.1 p.m. June 8.
Applicants 55-59 years of age qualify if they live in senior housing. All other applicants must be 60 or older. All must meet certain income guidelines.
The event will be held at 705 College Ave., Blackshear. Questions can be directed to Lynn Platt at (912) 4490145.
Youth fishing derby in Folkston, June 6
Friends of Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is hosting its 7th Annual Youth Fishing Derby from 8-11:30 a.m. this Saturday, June 6. The event is free and will be held at Folkston Elementary School Lake located behind Folkston Elementary School at 285 Little Phoebe Road, Folkston, 31537.
