AmVets Juneteenth Jubilee set for June 20 The Ladies Auxiliary of American Veterans Post 621 will hold a Juneteenth Jubilee Dance, 7 p.m. Saturday, June 20 at C.C. McCray City Auditorium, 865 Pendleton Street, Waycross.

Natural Resources Conservation Workshop June 7-8
The Natural Resources Conservation Workshop is a week long deep dive into the world of conservation, where high school students will get to explore natural resources and get hands-on with soil, water, forestry, wildlife, and Georgia's mining industry.
This isn’t just sitting in a classroom—think field studies, outdoor adventures, and behind-the-scenes tours of conservation hotspots.
Over $20,000 in scholarships and awards are up for grabs. Students live college life at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, staying in dorms, meeting awesome people, and learning. It’s the perfect mix of hands-on science, outdoor exploration, and future-planning.
The event is free and transportation is provided thanks to Georgia's Soil and Water Conservation Districts.
