Blackshear Elementary School (BES) recently celebrated its fifth grade honors day, recognizing the hard work, leadership, and accomplishments of students as they prepare to move on to middle school. Families, teachers, and staff gathered to honor a very special group of students for their dedication and success throughout the school year.
Students were recognized for a variety of achievements, including perfect attendance, outstanding academic performance, highest academic averages, citizenship awards, and participation and leadership in school clubs and organizations. Each award highlighted the commitment and character that students have demonstrated during their time at BES.
One of the most meaningful moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the Principal’s Award, the highest honor given to a fifth grade boy and girl. This award recognizes students who exemplify excellence in academics, leadership, character, responsibility, and overall citizenship. The recipients represent the very best of Blackshear Elementary and serve as role models for their peers.
The ceremony was filled with smiles, applause, and proud moments as students walked across the stage to receive their honors. Teachers and administrators shared how proud they are of the Class of 2033 and the positive impact these students have made on the school community.
