BAXLEY — Mrs. Frances Lee Ridgon Harris, 87, of Baxley died Wednesday evening, May 27, 2026, at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to the late Henry C. Rigdon and Katie Bell Turner Rigdon. Mrs. Harris made her home for the majority of her life in the Jamestown area of Ware County before moving to Baxley in 2023. She was a faithful and dedicated homemaker and member of Brunel Street Church of God. She loved to serve

the church in numerous capacities, work in her yard, and make flower arrangements.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris also was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Daniel Harris; one grandson, Kevin Harris; and two sisters, Elaine Long and Joyce Rigdon.
Mrs. Harris is survived by four children, Jack E. Harris of Hazlehurst, Ga., Jimmy L. Harris of Baxley, Deborah A. Sims of Valdosta, and Timothy W. Harris of Commerce, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a brother, Amon Rigdon of Hampton, S.C.; and numerous other relatives.
A graveside service was held May 30 in Greenlawn Cemetery.
