Representing Ware County at this spring’s 29th Sonia Kovalevsky High School Mathematics Day, sponsored by Valdosta State, were Emilie Black, Maria Galvan, Angeles Galvan, Piper Hay, Peyton Henderson and Kolby Williams. The event, which drew 22 schools and 157 participants, consisted of a program of hands-on workshops, career speakers, and a contest designed to encourage students to continue their study of math.
