Rec. Dept. slates Family Game Night The Ware County Recreation Department will host Family Game Night from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, June 12 at the Trembling Earth Complex, 2110 Cecil Brown Drive.
Admission is free for the event that will include board games, virtual reality, Nintendo Switch, PS5, crafts, prizes and more. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Ware school board sets called meeting The Ware County Board of Education has scheduled a called meeting for 11 a.m., Thursday, June 11 to discuss personnel and miscellaneous items.
The meeting at the board office, 1301 Bailey Street, is open to the public. The meeting agenda is posted in advance, and the minutes are posted on the system web page at www.ware.k12.ga.us under the District and e-Board links.
Food preservation classes offered The University of Georgia Extension Office in Ware County will offer a series of food preservation classes monthly through December.
Classes will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesdays, at the Ware County Public Library, 401 Lee Avenue. Classes are $25 each and spots are limited.

Hickox reunion slated June 14 The annual Hickox Family reunion for the descendants of Ernie Hickox, Alzada Shuman Hickox and Allie Oquinn Hickox will be held Sunday June 14 at Twin Oaks Bluegrass Park, 401 Twin Oaks Drive in Hoboken.
The community room will be open by 11 a.m. Attendees should bring a covered dish and/or dessert and drinks.
