Lane-Lynn family reunion set June 7 Members of the Lane and Lynn families will hold a reunion at 12:30 p.m., Sunday June 7 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 7136 Central Avenue.

Attendees should bring a covered dish.

Juneteenth Jubilee Dance set June 20 The Ladies Auxiliary of American Veterans Post 621 will hold a Juneteenth Jubilee Dance, at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 20 at C.C. McCray City Auditorium, 865 Pendleton Street.

Tickets are $35 per person and available from any Amvets auxiliary member.

In addition to the music and dancing there will be food and a cash bar.

Diabetes group meets first Sat.

The Talki Foundation’s monthly support group 912 Diabetes Initiative for people with diabetes and their caregivers holds meetings the first Saturday of each month.

The support group will meet at 11 a.m., in the Memorial Satilla Health Annex Classroom, 1800 Alice Street. Remaining dates are June 6, July 11, August 1, September 5, October 3, November 7 and December 5.

The group provides educational resources and a chance to connect with others. Call (844) 6305295 to register.

Youth fishing derby in Folkston June 6 Friends of Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge holds its 7th annual Youth Fishing Derby from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6 at Folkston Elementary School Lake, 285 Little Phoebe Road.

The event is free and participants must provide their own fishing pole, stringer, and bait.

Registration is at 8 a.m. with fishing to start at 8:30.

Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers for ages 36, 7-11, 12-15, and 16-18 for the most fish caught, in addition to one overall winner for the largest fish caught.
