Eunice
BLACKSHEAR — Mrs. Carol Petty Eunice, 81, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, at Satilla Bluffs in Blackshear following a long illness.
She was born in Folkston, to the late Willie Clifton Petty and Mary Lucille Lloyd Petty. For many years, she served as the food service manager at Calvary Day School in Savannah, where she became well known for her outstanding cooking. She also worked as a hairstylist, and devoted several years of her life to caring for her home and family.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Waycross. As a devoted Christian, Mrs. Eunice served on many women’s ministries. She was a special lady who touched the lives of many. Outside of church, she enjoyed welcoming and entertaining friends and family in her home throughout the years.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, David Calvin Eunice; and a brother, Wendell Clifton Petty.
She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Eunice Stafford of Savannah and Carla Eunice Holland (Charles) of Nolensville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Blake Stafford Hallman (Haden), Bryce Stafford, Conner Holland, and Carson Holland; two greatgrandchildren, Nathaniel Hallman and Rosemary Hallman; and one brother, Scottie Petty (Diane) of Waycross.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 27) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
