WARESBORO — Mrs. Sadie J. Music, 93, passed away Wednesday morning, May 20, 2026, at her residence in Waresboro.
She was born April 7, 1933 in Ware County to the late Granville Smith and Georgia Sweat Smith, the youngest of 11 children.
Mrs. Music retired from General Box after 28 years of service, and she was a long-time member of Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy. She was an excellent cook and bisc uit maker who enjoyed reading, word searches, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Dolan Music; and her son, James Farley “Monk” Music, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Rose Spivey (late Bud) of Waresboro, Ronnie Music (late Delaine) of Millwood, and Butch Music (Debra) of Longwood, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Roger Bunch, Chad Bunch, Kristy Zugay, Michelle Welky, Phillip Mixon, James Music, Jennifer Music, Jessica Music, Sunny Higgs, and Noah Music; nine greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat- grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Saturday, May 23 at Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy. Burial followed in Telmore Cemetery.
