St. Peters MBC has VBS June 1-5 St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church, 300 Fireman Street, has scheduled Vacation Bible School School from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday-Friday, June 1-5.

The theme of the program is “Reigning With Purpose.” The Rev. Dr. Norris L. Woods, Sr., is church pastor.

Gaines Chapel has VBS June 8-12 Historical Gaines Chapel, 901 S. Georgia Parkway, has scheduled Vacation Bible School from 4-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 8-12.

The program, themed “Redeemed” is divided for ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, 11-12 and 13-up. There will be Bible training, prayer, character building, games, snacks and gifts.

Parkway Baptist schedules VBS Parkway Baptist Church, 101 McKinley Road, will hold Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday-Friday, June 7-12.

There will be a kickoff party for registration of participants from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday June 6. There will be a water slide, games, food, drinks and desserts.

Joseph’s Pantry adds May giveaway Joseph’s Pantry, a ministry of The Pentacostals of Waycross, has altered its distribution schedule for Ware County residents to include an additional Saturday in May.

Following the first giveaways May 2 and 16 the last will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m., May 30. Those accepting items must show a valid ID.

The ministry will return to its normal schedule of the second and fourth Saturdays next month (June 13 and 27).

Shiloh focuses on women June 14 Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1701 Martin Luther King Drive, presents its Women’s Day program at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 14.

Guest speaker is Minister Pennie Taylor. Theme is “Women of Purpose, Strength and Virtue” from Proverbs 31: 25-26.

The Rev. Allen Alonzo Dasher is church pastor.

St. John honors fathers June 21 St. John Missionary Baptist, 864 oak Street, will hold a special Father’s Day program at 3 p.m., June 21.

The Rev. Morris Pate of Fourth Mount Olive Church in Blackshear will lead the worship. A dinner will follow the program.

Church pastor is the Rev. Gerald Robinson.

St. Peters MBC Unity Day June 21 St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church, 300 Fireman Street, celebrates Unity Day with a special worship service at 11:15 a.m. Sunday June 21.

Theme for the program will be “One Body, Many Parts.” Guest Speaker will be Dr. Terence Lattimore of Judah Family Worship Center.

River of Life starts resource program River of Life Church, 1439 Brunel Street, offers a community resource center from 10 a.m. to noon, the fourth Friday of each month.

The River Missions program will offer practical life skills, hot meals, clothing and more. Next session is June 26.

DC Downtown has food ministry DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000-square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Way of Cross EPC has food giveaway Way of the Cross EPC holds a free food and clothing giveaway at 8 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at 512 Lee Avenue.

People should bring a bag or box for items. The first-come, first-served giveaway will next be held June 6.
