Welcome to summer. ***** To our community: We would like to congratulate Sincere McNair for achieving excellent grades in school including all A’s in English/language arts, social studies and science for the whole school year. She is promoted to 8th grade. Sincere also received the citizenship award. She is the daughter of Tineisha McNair and the granddaughter of Tina Simpson. Keep it up, great job, well done! ***** Session Hill Community Center would like to thank Sincere McNair for presiding on the Mother’s Day Brunch. You did an excellent job. ***** Blackshear High School Class of 1972 alumni are turning 72 this year and we are celebrating our birthdays all together. We are having a party. We will gather at Oak Plaza Restaurant in Blackshear at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 30. The restaurant is located at 534 Gordon Street, Blackshear. Looking forward to seeing everyone! ***** Session Hill Community Center will host a barbeque by Craig Smiley beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6. Barbeque chicken dinners are $15 and barbeque rib dinners are $20. Plates include potato salad, baked beans, bread and a drink. The center is located at 3105 Allen Avenue, Blackshear. ***** Pierce County Concerned Citizens monthly meeting is held every first Monday of each month at 623 Sycamore Street, Blackshear.
