ATLANTA — Seventh-seed Pierce County’s quest for an elusive first soccer title ended with a 2-0 loss May 13 to fourth-seed Savannah Arts Academy here on the campus of St. Pius X High School. The Panthers scored one goal in each half against their Region 3-AA foe. PCHS advanced to the finals blanking KIPP Collegiate 9-0, Spencer of Columbus 3-0 and Hart County 1-0 at home. The Bears clipped Pike County 2-1 in sudden death on the road.
