OREMC taking bids for online auction NAHUNTA — Working with JJ Kane Auctioneers, Okefenoke REMC is auctioning off two retired fleet vehicles, specifically two Altec 61 foot, Material Handling Bucket Trucks with two-man bucket and four hydraulic outriggers, rear mounted on 2015 Freightliner M2 106 utility truck.
The auction is online and bidding is open until Fridy, May 29. Interested bidders can view complete vehicle details, photos and place bids at https://www.jjkane.com/ promotions/okefenokeremc/.
To register and place bids, bidders will need to click the “View Details” button on the listing, which will take them to another page with a “Place Bid” button. At that point new bidders will be prompted to register and create an account with the online bidding provider. The highest bid on each item, along with the time remaining to place a bid, will be visible until the auction closes on May 29.

RV camper help now available to residents Emerge RV.org and EmergencyRV Campers have partnered to help Brantley Countians in need.
If you know of someone who was burnt out in the Brantley County wildfires and does not have a place to live yet, they can contact one of these two for help.
If you have proof of ID and residency, they can get you an RV in a very short time period to live in.
Or, you can get in touch with Al Hunter, Wayne Morgan, Lynette Johnson, (Emerge Ministries) or Andy Riggins to point you in contact with someone who can help.
PVBS holding VBS May 31 thru June 4 HOBOKEN — Pleasant Valley Baptist Church is hosting Vacation Bible School beginning Sunday, May 31.
The VBS will run through Thursday, June 4. The program is from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. each night.
There will be classes for 3-year-olds up to adults. A free supper will be served each night.
Emerald Crossing is the theme for VBS. Everyone will have an Irish Adventure learning through Psalm 23. Children will have fun learning about Jesus thru Bible study, arts, crafts, and songs.

Waynesville Baptist VBS kickoff June 13 WAYNESVILLE — Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church will be having Kickoff for their Illumination Station Vacation Bible School Saturday, June 13 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., with waterslides, food and fun.
VBS will begin Sunday, June 14 and continue through Wednesday night, June 17 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. nightly.

FCA holding triathlon, duathlon fundraiser The annual FCA SPLASH MASH & DASH Triathlon/Duathlon is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Laura S. Walker State Park in Waycross.
The race begins at 7:30 a.m. Prizes will be given to the top overall finishers, male, female and top Masters, the top three finishers in each age division, Clydesdale (male 220+ lbs.), Athena (female 165+ lbs.), Milit ary/LEO/PSO, physically challenged, Fat Tire, top three relay teams, and novice male and female.
Individual entry fees are $85 through Friday, May 29, $95 from May 30-June 9, and $110 the day of the race.
Team entry fees are $170 through Friday, May 29, $190 from May 30June 9, and $220 the day of the race.
The $5 park entry fee will be waived until 7:15 a.m. Fees do not include $15 individual USAT nor $9 per relay team member.
